Two Google Projects Get Shut Down
This is a bit sad, Google is shutting down Google Health and Google PowerMeter - two very influential and groundbreaking projects due to lack of user involvement. I think Google was just ahead of the curve on this one and I wish they kept them going until a real legitimate business developed. It's not like it was killing them from a cash flow standpoint:

Anne Frank - Only Known Video
I showed this one to my kids after they read The Diary of Anne Frank, it's pretty powerful. It's a short clip showing Anne Frank looking out a window prior to WWII, in 1941 - about 4 years before her death. Guess what - she looks and acts like an ordinary, innocent, excited little girl:

Gary Taubes Rules
I watched the first part of this debate between Gary Taubes, Dean Ornish, Barbara Howard and Dr. Oz. I love how smart and well researched Taubes comes across in this discussion, while Howard, the AHA rep appears dismissive, angry and ultimately unfounded:

Pale Blue Dot
Check out this amazing thread on Quora and really examine the photo of earth from 3.7 billion miles away, Carl Sagan said, "From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of particular interest. But for us, it's different. Look again at that dot. That's here, that's home, that's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives."
